The Freefolk VFX team, led by VFX Supervisor Steve Murgatroyd, CG Supervisor Harin Hirani, VFX Executive Producer Meg Guidon, and VFX Producer Hannah E. Dakin, handled some of the most complex and visually stunning sequences in the series. Their work included creating a breathtaking fully CG version of Mount Olympus, which served as the opening shot and home of Zeus. In addition to the mountain and Zeus’s palace, the team crafted the surrounding cloudscape, atmospheric fog, and distant clouds to bring the environment to life. We also developed the intense thunderstorms commanded by the king of gods, along with a CG gold statue made in his honor. And some of the swimmers in the underworld – which will make sense, if you watch the series.
