This is according to a recent report published on <strong><a href="https://www.wirtualnemedia.pl/artykul/wiedzmin-3-sezon-netflix-efekty-specjalne-platige-image">wirtualnemedia.pl</a></strong>. Platige Image was already involved in the first and second seasons of The Witcher.</p>
<p><strong>In toto:</strong> The report also states that Platige will work on the episodes of season three in chronological order – starting with the first and concluding with the last episode of the new series season. Platige is expected to have successfully completed his visual effects for The Witcher Season 3 by the end of the first quarter of 2023. The scripts for the third season have already been finalised and filming is scheduled to start in spring 2023. The Witcher Season 3 is expected to premiere on the Netflix streaming portal in summer 2023.</p>

Incidentally, the effects were created for the final episode of the second season. The episode in question is entitled “Family”.</p>
<p><strong>What’s behind the effects?</strong> The team at Cinesite spent a whole year developing the look of the terrifying basilisks. They were modelled on numerous real-world animals and their anatomies. The particular challenge was to give the basilisk’s surface a mixture of fur, feathers and scales that looked natural – a real Herculean task for the creature designers! Cinesite also had to harmonise the fight choreography of the actors, who tumbled around in front of the cameras on set, with the movements of the animated basilisks.</p>

This time we are showing you the award-winning launch cinematic “Wild Hunt” for the video game “The Witcher 3”, salvaged from the Animago archives in 2015.</p>
<p><strong>What is Wild Hunt?</strong> The launch cinematic, which is well worth seeing, was created by the VFX artists at Digic Pictures. In the cinematic, Geralt of Riva wanders through a Nordic kingdom on the hunt for monsters. Business as usual for the alpha anti-hero with a flat-rate subscription to the medieval McFit, right? Not quite. Because Geralt soon meets a red-haired woman who turns into a socially intolerable vampire, which causes problems for Geralt, the vampire-phobic. Just an occupational hazard for Geralt, but is it just a mundane everyday life in the fantasy cosmos?</p>
<p><strong>Did you know?</strong> Digic Pictures from Budapest is an old animago acquaintance: The studio won its seventh animago trophy with “Wild Hunt”. The team created the extremely elaborate trailer using Maya, ZBrush, BodyPaint, Modo, Mari, Nuke, Houdini, Final Cut Pro and the in-house software dProject.</p>
