New Features, New Tools, Old Jokes
We are in the next heatwave, but by now everybody is used to it. Why leave the house if there are so many updates to run? And you want everything running before the new autumn workload grows too much.
Also, there is an internal update: We have a new feature on the Digital Production website. If you want to know something, use the search in the bottom-left corner and chat with the site (Obviously, the so-far-unchangable logo looks like an anus, as does every other AI tool. Look it up!).
It works reasonably well if you search for a version number, the last time we talked about a feature or something similar. But if you have a real question, you should contact us directly. Seriously. And if anybody tries this “make me an array” stuff, then... please don’t.

Here comes Houdini 22
2 hours and 18 minutes. That is almost exactly the runtime of the first Matrix film, and exactly the duration of the Houdini 22 release keynote. So yes, this promises a rather chunky package of new features and improvements. And you can read it in a Keanu Reeves voice, if you want. If Matrix-Keanu or Bill & Ted-Keanu, that is up to you.

Exclusive for our subscribers
This time, it is the Uli Plank special - we are testing two Blackmagic Designs, the ProDock for the iPhone, which seemed "interesting" in the beginnig, and one of the small converter boxes, which is propably the most undervalued and underrated class of screen extensions. And also: An Asus for On-Set Work. Laptop sized, SDI-connectable and .... ?? Read the article to find its faults.
As you should know by now: The good stuff is behind the button. And you can always just test the subscription!

That's all
Ufff, thats it, folks. So, until the next time, drink water, downvolt (That surely is a verb by now?) your workstations, and remember the time when "Too Hot" Meant "A Free day". (Hitzefrei, in German. Did you all have that as well? Not talking to Chris from Norway, but the rest of you?)
Greetings, Bela and the Floof
(Who wishes to register that she abhors being used for filter tests in Boris FX Optix 2026.5)
P.S. Matt, I told you I'd do the four classic cinema refrences in one go, as you dared me. Digital Production is still a movie magazine. Next beer is on you, mate :)
