Apple is reaching more people through an increasingly diverse range of channels, meaning that trade-show appearances—like those of other companies—now account for only a very small proportion of Apple’s customer outreach. The steadily growing popularity of Apple Retail Stores, which now welcome more than 3.5 million visitors every week, and the Apple.com website allow Apple to reach hundreds of millions of customers around the world directly and in innovative ways.

Apple has systematically reduced its participation in trade shows in recent years, including events such as NAB, Macworld New York, Macworld Tokyo and Apple Expo in Paris.
