Apple’s entire Mac product range is now equipped with NVIDIA GPUs. For NVIDIA, this provides further evidence that its GPUs are an ideal solution for accelerating visual-computing applications, including HD video, image processing, video transcoding and games.
Apple today introduced new iMac and Mac mini versions equipped with the award-winning GeForce 9400M GPU, which Apple had already integrated into the MacBook family. The 24-inch iMac is also now available with a GeForce GT 120 or GT 130 GPU. All MacBook and iMac computers available from Apple Retail Stores contain GeForce GPUs exclusively.
Apple also introduced a new Mac Pro today, equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 and 512 MB of DDR3 memory. The high-performance GPU offers three times the performance of the previous system generation.
