Akeytsu from Nukeygara

How? So: French software developer Nukeygara has announced the release of its first tool, Akeytsu, for October 2014.

Behind Nukeygara are Aurélien Charrier, who worked as an animator in the games industry for twelve years, and Yannick Rousseau, who spent just as long in the industry as an R&D software engineer.

Their aim with Akeytsu is to bring completely new software onto the market. Both complain that current programmes are far too complicated and that companies are constantly expanding their pipelines. Instead of rethinking the workflow itself from the perspective of the animators who have to work with it.

Akeytsu should have a new concept for rigging. Other key features include the IK Solver and a keyframe editor. The tool is currently still under development. It will be presented at the upcoming Siggraph (10 to 14 August) and the release is planned for this October. Further information can be found at www.nukeygara.com.
