Andersson Technologies releases Synth Eyes 2106 – the latest version of its 3D tracking software.
Synth Eyes 2106 now also supports AprilTag, a source-free system that can be used to create tracking targets. The created targets resemble QR codes. In appearance, they are circular and square in shape and – compared to a QR code – appear comparatively simple. This should make them readable, even from a greater distance. There are a total of eight tag families, each containing between 30,000 and 65,000 different designs. In addition, Synth Eyes now supports 25 different languages; and symbols in Unicode can now also be displayed in tracker names and nodes. Synth Eyes was developed by the Robotics Lab at the University of Michigan.
A list of all changes can be found in the corresponding announcement at Andersson Technologies. The video below demonstrates how this works with the AprilTags in Synth Eyes 2106.
