The droplet generator makes it moist and cheerful

Blender artists know where water flows: Over tin cans, salty over the skin or fruity on apple peels. What can the Droplet Generator do?

In nuce: Blender Artist ibotpl releases his Droplet Generator for Blender. It is an add-on that generates water droplets on surfaces – regardless of whether they are drops of condensation, rain or sweat.

What the droplet generator can do: According to the description, you can customise the size, shape, density and surface distribution of your water droplets. The add-on also supports user-defined weight maps and automatically ensures that your water droplets do not overlap. Using user-defined shaders, you can determine how far ray depth and shadows should go. Three sample scenes are included in the download package so that you can get started right away.

Who is ibotpl? Ibotpl is a CG artist from Turkey who has dedicated himself to the fields of animation and architectural visualisation.

Prerequisite: You need Blender 3.1 for the add-on. The droplet generator uses the geometry nodes that were added with the release of Blender 3.0. You can visit the talented artist on Twitter, Instagram and all other social media platforms via his link tree .
