Jungle Cruise | VFX Breakdown

If only Werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski knew: Rising Sun Pictures plays the Amazon with wet VFXs.

In nuce: This VFX breakdown is dedicated to the fun film adaptation of the famous and popular Disneyland ride called Jungle Cruise. This is also the name of the film, in which Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson verbally besiege each other as if we were still in the 1950s, where Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart slobbered over each other on a steamboat, as film fans know it from the classic African Queen.

What attractions await you on the boat trip with Skipper alias “The Rock”? First and foremost, there is a lot of visual crashing and banging and rattling in this breakdown, which is what the pipeline of Australian VFX studio Rising Sun Pictures has to offer. However, if you want to know why Skippy, as Dr Lily Houghton (aka Emily Blunt) teasingly calls the sly boat captain Frank Wolff, is able to see the other side of the water in a completely different way, you should watch the entire 128 minutes of this comedic Disney adventure film. We hope you enjoy watching this entertaining boat trip.

Click on: It’s been a while since we last told you about the Australian VFX artists from Rising Sun Pictures. It was on 12 September 2015 when the visual effects of the blockbuster films Pompei, Gravity and the seventh Harry Potter film left you in awe.
