In nuce: As part of our weekly recurring series “Animago Afternoon”, we present pearls, gems and other splendours from last year’s Animago film festivals at the best time of the afternoon. This time we’re showing you the award-nominated comedic short film “My Dear Gnome” by French animation studio Eddy, salvaged from the Animago archives in 2015.
What’s behind My Dear Gnome? In the short comedy hit “My Dear Gnome”, by filmmakers Emmanuelle Leleu and Julien Hazebroucq from the French production and animation studio Eddy, a tricky Bambi and German garden gnome fetishism meet – or more precisely: they meet for a game of mill. The team realised the short film, which is well worth seeing, with Maya and Avid Media Composer.
Click on: You can find the full-length link to the lively and witty short film below. We say: Roll the film – and always play by the rules! By the way: Yesterday we presented our retro article “Severely limited game options”, in which Mirja Fürst asked the two filmmakers to talk to you, in full length. Have a read!
