In nuce: As a follow-up to this year’s Siggraph, where Maxon was present with its The 3D and Motion Design Show, the associated live recordings have now been released as YouTube videos – among the prominent personnel is Jonathan Windbush, who performed a Siggraph double gig this year. In the course of the two videos, Jonathan explores the question of how artists manage to create virtual environments with Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine that become real eye-catchers. Jonathan describes the environment he presents in his viewport as something that gamers will recognise from titles such as Legend of Zelda or Borderlands 3 – in other words, pop colours that catch the viewer’s eye. The two videos each have a running time of around 50 to 60 minutes.
