In nuce: Maxon was not only represented at the industry events Siggraph and IBC this year with its The 3D and Motion Design Show – but also at the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) in Las Vegas. As a follow-up to this year’s NAB, the associated live recordings have now been released as YouTube videos – with Andrew Hess among the prominent personnel. The almost one-hour video tutorial is dedicated to building and dismantling geometries in Cinema 4D – with the help of Volume Builder, the Fields and Redshift.
Who is Andrew Hess? Andrew is a motion art director from New York City who, as he says himself, specialises in design, direction, motion and 3D. He has over 13 years of experience in the motion design industry and has been a freelance artist for the past 5 years. Andrew’s clients include well-known media and product brands such as Netflix, Oral-B, MTV – but also the video game adaptation Uncharted (for his former employer Method Studios) can be found in his portfolio. Andrew’s favourite tools include Cinema 4D from Maxon and X-Particles from Insydium. He is an alumnus of Philadelphia University (a private educational institution also known as Thomas Jefferson University ), where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design.
