Maxon One Update: ZBrush for iPad, Redshift Resolve and More

Maxon’s latest update for Maxon One introduces ZBrush for iPad, Red Giant tools for DaVinci Resolve, enhanced Cinema 4D splines, and Redshift upgrades.

Red Giant for DaVinci Resolve

Colorists and editors working in DaVinci Resolve get access to Real Lens Flares for cinematic authenticity, Optical Glow for sci-fi aesthetics, Magic Bullet Looks for professional-grade color correction, and the Universe Toolkit, featuring VHS effects, bokeh, and more.

ZBrush on iPad: Sculpt Anywhere

ZBrush for iPad gets a major boost with ZModeler, bringing advanced polygonal modeling with a touch-optimized UI. Nanomesh support allows seamless population of mesh polygons with multiple models. UV Master enables one-click unwrapping, making texture mapping effortless. Artists can use Surface Noise, Texture Maps, IMM brushes with UVs, and displacement mapping, ensuring game-ready assets. A seamless workflow between ZBrush and Cinema 4D further enhances production pipelines.

Cinema 4D: New Splines and Simulations

Cinema 4D adds advanced spline tools from Rocket Lasso, expanding animation control. Unified simulation enhancements refine particle effects, bringing more realism to motion graphics. Maxon Studio introduces 100+ customizable motion graphics templates, including optimized vertical formats for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Redshift: Speed and Compatibility Boosts

Redshift expands its capabilities with OpenPBR support, ensuring industry-standard material compatibility while maintaining fast rendering speeds. In Cinema 4D, a new material graph baking feature improves viewport previews. Houdini users benefit from smooth hair curve interpolation and per-point attribute support. In Maya and Houdini, the USD procedural now allows USD overrides, simplifying asset swapping. 3ds Max users gain automatic conversion of Vray and Corona materials, reducing the need for manual shader rebuilding. ZBrush integration enables direct rendering of high-quality concept images.

Cineware for Unreal Engine: Streamlined Workflow

Cineware for Unreal Engine now supports fully rigged and animated character transfers, making it easier to integrate Cinema 4D scenes into Unreal with preserved assets, materials, lighting, and animations.
