Womp, an online 3D application, is currently still in the alpha phase and is still free to try out. The Womp team promises that Womp Alpha will remain 100% free. A "Pro version" with a wider range of functions is planned for later - the current version has only been released for about a month. A price does not yet seem to have been set.

Living Games Festival 2009
Following the extremely successful premiere of the Living Games Festival in 2008, the date, motto and the first programme items have now been finalised for this year's new edition
Programme have been set. From 27-30 May 2009, the world's first purely culturally oriented computer and video games festival will take place in the Jahrhunderhalle in Bochum.
The event is modelled on major, renowned film and literature events such as the Berlinale or the Bachmann Festival in Klagenfurt. Under the guiding theme "Games are so much more", representatives from politics, the games industry and academia will gather at the opening on 27 May to discuss the topic together with the
Grimme Prize winner and renowned cultural and media scientist Dieter Gorny, who is also Artistic Director for the "City of Creativity" theme area at the European Capital of Culture RUHR.
2010, to discuss the topic "More than just economic success: The games industry's social responsibility". The opening will take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2009 at 7.30 pm in the Jahrhunderthalle, Victoriastraße 10, 44787 Bochum.

The new programme of the FILM & ANIMATION course includes short films, commercials, music videos and works from the field of motion graphics, whether shot in real life or animated. The event, initiated with great commitment by Prof Jürgen Schopper, has long since become a sought-after event for talent scouts from the film and television industry, for agencies, film productions or representatives of digital post-production.
A direct link between teaching and practice on the one hand, the "ohmrolle" is also an interesting showcase for prospective students. Although the venue is the largest cinema in Nuremberg, tickets sell out within the first few hours.

4th International Video Journalism Awards
The 4th International Video Journalism Awards is an international competition for documentary short films and contributions. Independent authors, civil journalists as well as video journalists working in print and television submit their films. This year, the awards are being organised together with ZDF in Mainz - films can be submitted online until 15 October.
