The new SRX-T110 and SRX-T105 SXRD projectors are particularly suitable for applications requiring high-quality imagery, such as demanding visualizations, simulations and presentations in large conference rooms. With a resolution of 8.8 million pixels per color channel, a contrast ratio of 2500:1 and brightness of 5,500 ANSI lumens (SRX-T105) or 11,000 ANSI lumens (SRX-T110), the new 4K models can display dimensions in computer-based development that would otherwise require more than four standard HD projectors. Multi-screen mode allows four full-HD images to be displayed simultaneously in four quadrants, or two images side by side in two quadrants. Two xenon lamps and individually selectable gamma curves ensure the highest image quality and precise color reproduction.
Sony’s SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) imaging devices deliver the exceptionally high 4K resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels (H x V at an aspect ratio of 1.896:1). This resolution offers more than four times as many pixels as full HDTV resolution (1920 x 1080, 16:9 widescreen). The projectors achieve this resolution with 8.8 million pixels at a pixel pitch of just 8.5 micrometers. The densely arranged pixels are only one-quarter the size of those projected by conventional 2K projection systems (2.2 million pixels), producing breathtaking images. The SRX-T110 and SRX-T105 feature color-space conversion that lets the projector’s color space be defined either by the ITU-R BT.709-3 digital HDTV studio standard or by the new DCDM color space.
The two new projectors can operate at a maximum tilt angle of ±90 degrees. The image can also be rotated horizontally and vertically, allowing more flexible installation. The recently developed LKRI-005 DVI-D input board also accepts HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) signals at 1920 x 1080p and 1280 x 720p. The display can handle a variety of input signals, including WUXGA, HD (1920 x 1080), DC (2048 x 1080) and, using optional input configurations, up to 4096 x 2160.
A dual-lamp system provides reliable, flexible and efficient use of the light sources. Users can operate the projector with both lamps simultaneously for maximum brightness or with just one lamp. In dual-lamp mode, the projector delivers full brightness and reduces the risk of failure virtually to zero: if one bulb burns out, the other continues projecting images.
