Light Tracer Renderer: Latest version released!

Rendering – faster than the speed of light? Version 2.3 of the rendering software entices with an “online library for materials”, “export function for 360-degree videos” and other features.

In nuce: According to an official announcement, version 2.3 of Light Tracer Render has been released. According to the description, the team behind the software has taken care not to neglect the usability of the renderer despite all the new functions.

What features does Light Tracer Render 2.3 offer? The following are among the new functions, which are probably the most exciting:

  • An online library for materials
  • The ability to import SketchUp models
  • A separate library containing “Studio Lights”
  • Improved tone mapping and colour grading
  • New possibilities to realise animations
  • Vertex colours and PLY import
  • The option to export a 360-degree view
