In nuce: Blackmagic Design is getting the publicity going for its summer tour. The summer tour will take place in Paris, Prague, Madrid, Milan, Istanbul – and in Munich. Munich residents can attend the event on Wednesday 22 June at the Freiheitshalle, located at Rainer-Werner-Fassbinder-Platz 1 in 80636 Munich. Places are limited. So the journey is set, but..
…what can you expect? About the summer tour, Blackmagic Design says: “Over the last two years we have released major upgrades to our products. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about what’s new.” Blackmagic Design is also promoting the new Atem Mini Extreme models, which you can experience – as part of the summer tour, of course – in combination with the new Blackmagic Studio Cameras. Blackmagic Design has the following to say about this: “Find out how the new Atem Constellation HD mixers work in conjunction with the new Ursa Broadcast G2 cameras.”
What else can you expect? The new Blackmagic Cloud will also be presented during the event – in tandem with the manufacturer’s own collaborative workflow. Thanks to this workflow, several DaVinci Resolve users will be able to work on a project at the same time – anywhere in the world. According to Blackmagic Design, those who take part in the summer tour will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the development team.
Schedule of the workshops: Each of the workshops lasts 45 minutes. We have taken the description of the respective programme items from blackmagicdesign.com .
10:00 – Live Production Cameras: This session will focus on the features of the Blackmagic Ursa Broadcast G2 and Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K and demonstrate the new Blackmagic Zoom and Focus Demands. You will also learn how to control your camera with the Atem Software Control operating software or the Atem Camera Control Panel.
11:30 a.m. – Digital filmmaking: Discover the similarities and differences between the 4K and 6K models of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and learn about the benefits of using Blackmagic Raw for your workflow. We’ll show you everything from setting up the camera to working with the dual ISO sensor.
13:00 – Collaboration in DaVinci Resolve: Interested in how DaVinci Resolve 18 supports the Blackmagic Cloud so you can work with creative artists anywhere in the world in the same timeline? This workshop will show you how. You will also learn how this workflow, combined with the new Blackmagic Cloud Store, creates a powerful network storage with global synchronisation.
14:30 – Live streaming with the Atem Mini: In this workshop we will demonstrate the Atem Mini ISO workflow. It allows you to record clean feeds from all inputs and open a saved project file in DaVinci Resolve. Now you can integrate your live production into post-production and have access to additional creative workflows and output options.
16:00 – Blackmagic Raw Workflow: The combination of Blackmagic Raw, Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 12K and DaVinci Resolve gives you unrivalled quality from capture to post-production. In this session, we describe how to get the best 8K and 4K images with subtle skin tones and exceptional detail by oversampling to 12K.
