Release: V-Ray 6 for Maya

Chaos Group is back with the latest version of the renderer – and with new functions such as geometric tiling, procedurally generated clouds and new shader profiles. Available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

In nuce: Chaos Group has released V-Ray 6 for Maya – the latest version of the renderer. The newly added flagship functions include: geometric tiling, procedurally generated clouds, new shader profiles – and VRayEnmesh, with which geometries are repeated along an object surface without instancing. A practical benefit of VRayEnmesh for Artist is that it simplifies the creation of repeating surface patterns, such as those found in chain mail, skin pores or jumpers. V-Ray 6 for Maya is available for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
