In nuce: AXYZ Design, a company specialising in 3D people in architectural visualisation, virtual & augmented reality, has released Anima 5. The programme offers 3D people, which – according to the developers – look realistic on the one hand, and depict natural-looking movement sequences of virtual people on the other. The software is available in a Pro and an All version. With the Pro version, users receive unlimited access to the application, but limited access to the attached content. The All version offers a full year’s access to both the application and associated content (including over 2,000 prefabricated 3D people).
ANIMA 5 DEMO REEL
In toto: Below are some of the most important new features of Anima 5.
- More realism: More realistic walking behaviour (thanks to Neural Crowds. See below) and more natural facial expressions of 3D people are advertised – as well as deforming clothing.
- New system for generating pedestrian paths (pedestrian path generation system): According to the developers, these functions should be suitable for both close and medium camera settings.
- New crowd generation system based on neural networks – called: Neural Crowds. This is based on an AI that has been fed with thousands of movement sequences.
- Improved Anima file format: Now also supports correctly displayed motion blur.
- When used with Unreal Engine 5, the encoding and decoding algorithms of the 4D format should be more performant.
