In nuce: The latest version of the Light Tracer Renderer has been released – version 2.5.0 is now available. The new features mainly concern the animation of scene objects and camera movements. In addition, one of the most frequently requested functions has been implemented: Ground projection for HDRI environment maps.
In toto: What can Light Tracer Renderer 2.5.0 do?
- Set several animations for one scene object – or for several scene objects. In addition, the whole thing can be defined on the video timeline. According to the developer, the animation tab has been redesigned to make scene animation more convenient (see video below).
- Create any camera animation along the path. This consists of one or more movements. Depth of field can also be displayed (depth of field, aperture, sensor size, etc.).
- The ground projection function for HDRI environment maps has been added. According to the developers, this newly added function was frequently requested by users (see video below).
Availability: Light Trace Renderer is available for Windows and Mac operating systems. A trial version can be downloaded. The full version is available either for 9 US dollars per month (monthly plan), 6 US dollars per month (annual plan) or for 99 US dollars as a perpetual licence.
