Silo, the lightweight 3D modeler, introduces version 2024.3, featuring new modifiers for non-destructive modeling. The Boolean modifier combines or subtracts shapes, simplifying complex geometry, while the Chain Replicate modifier automates repeating patterns for structures like staircases or chains. The Path Extrusion modifier extrudes shapes along a path, ideal for organic designs.
User-driven improvements include mouse-centered viewport zooming and adjustable UV line width. These updates enhance Silo’s integration with game engines like Unity and Unreal and fit seamlessly into pipelines alongside Maya or Blender.
