Developer Casey Sheep has graduated Quad Filler from beta to a full 1.0 release, maintaining its focus on simplifying a common modelling task: patching holes and connecting open edge chains into quad-based geometry.
The add-on automates what is typically a manual series of bridge, fill, and cleanup operations. Users select two open edge chains in Edit Mode and trigger Quad Filler to generate a topology flow prioritising quads where possible.
Expanded bridging and workflow
Version 1.0 introduces multiple edge-count bridging modes, enabling the tool to handle a wider variety of edge combinations than earlier betas. These include configurations where the number of edges on each side differ, with the output composed largely of quads and, where necessary, minimal n-gons or triangles.

Hotkey support and shortcut recording are built in, allowing rapid invocation without disrupting the modelling flow. The workflow remains Edit Mode → select edge chains → run the tool (default Shift+F) → inspect and continue modelling.
Technical limitations
Quad Filler supports Blender 3.4 through to 5.0 in Edge Select within Edit Mode. It only works on open edge chains; closed loops are not supported, and highly irregular topology can produce unexpected results. Face normals may need manual correction with Blender’s native tools in some cases.
Pricing and availability
Quad Filler is available for purchase on the Superhive marketplace, priced at 12 USD. A discounted launch offer is active for a limited period (8 USD instead of 12USD), with an optional support tier for users wishing to contribute to further development.
Remember: All new tools, including Quad Filler, should be tested with representative assets before adoption in production pipelines.
