Putting Together a Worldwide VR Experience
The occasion was the presentation of the new I-PACE concept car. Starting from the studio in Los Angeles, guests on the other side of the world were able to participate virtually in the event. Since everything had to be rendered in 4K and in real time, performance and scalability were particularly important. Dell provided the necessary computing power with a fleet of Precision workstations and EMC servers.
As probably the first project of its kind, the I-PACE launch attracted a great deal of attention. Dell awarded the event the IT Trasformation REALIZED Award for the pioneering use of Dell-DMC technologies.
