What Houdini can do, Cinema 4D can now do too: V-Ray 5 in public beta.

V-Rray 5 for Cinema 4D

After V-Ray 5 recently entered the public beta phase for Houdini, Cinema 4D is now following suit! The new features include RTX-accelerated rendering, AI denoising, as well as compositing and relighting built into the framebuffer. Also included: V-Ray GPU – Chaos Group’s own render engine based on CUDA, designed for interactive previews and rendering in final quality. Not to be underestimated among the new features: the GPU-accelerated, AI-based OptiX denoiser from Nvidia.

According to Chaos Group, V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D reduces the setup time of settings by half in some places. Another new feature for the Cinema 4D version: a significantly improved user interface for lighting scenes.
