In toto: The so-called Moon of Shame scene, a scene that is depicted almost exclusively in black and white – apart from occasional splashes of colour – was a hurdle to overcome. The fact that the scene takes place on the moon, which completes a full orbit within 20 minutes, posed a particular challenge – especially in terms of lighting. Another touchstone, as visual effects supervisor Pete Dionne describes it, was the reduced gravity of the Earth’s satellite.
