Die VFXen aus “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”!

VFX supervisor Ara Khanikian from Rodeo FX explains how the stylish action scenes from the Marvel film were created.

In nuce: VFX service provider Rodeo FX has released an almost five-minute episode from its “Breaking Down the Breakdown” series. The video, entitled “The Bamboo Scaffold Building & The Fight with Death Dealer”, is about the Marvel superhero film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”; in particular, it explains how the action scene on the bamboo scaffold was created and the fight with the Death Dealer. VFX supervisor Ara Khanikian guides us through the video.

Ara Khanikian has been working for Rodeo FX as a VFX supervisor for over 14 years and is also a board member of the Visual Effects Society. In addition to Shang-Chi, his current credits as a contributor include the new Lord of the Rings streaming series The Rings of Power, the Dwayne John Disney film Jungle Cruise and the series Better Call Saul, The Boys and Game of Thrones.
