In nuce: The Blender Foundation has released the first episode of the Blenderheads documentary series. This is according to a message published by Francesco Siddi, Chief Executive Officer at Blender, on 24 January this year on blender.org . In terms of content, the documentary not only deals with the development process of the open-source 3D software Blender, but also takes a closer look at the people and the community behind the software. The other episodes in the series will be published quarterly.
In toto: In the first episode, with a total length of just under twenty-five minutes, filmmaker Maaike Kleverlaan explores the Blender headquarters – documenting the processes on site and talking to developers. Ton Roosendaal, chief developer of Blender and chairman of the Blender Foundation, is among those who have their say. The viewer is also up close and personal when the creative minds of the Blender Foundation throw themselves into the preparations for the Blender Conference 2022 (BCON 2022) – and then head to the Felix Meritis building in Amsterdam, the venue for BCON.
