Anno Saul, known for films such as "Kebab Connection" and "Where's Fred?", talks about his new film DIE TÜR. The gripping mystery drama, based on the novel by cult author Akif Pirinçci ("Felidae"), stars Mads Mikkelsen as a man haunted by fate who is given the chance to undo the biggest mistake of his life. But is it possible to change the past and thus influence the future?

The path to the world of multimedia: Open Day at the SAE & Qantm Institute
New perspectives on 1 Advent: On 29 November, the SAE Institute, the international training institution in the fields of audio, digital film & animation, web design & development and interactive entertainment (Qantm Institute), will provide interested parties with insights and information about SAE, the individual training programmes and possible careers such as web developer, game developer, 3D artist or sound designer.
New degree programme in 2010: "Digital Journalist"
From 2 p.m., lecturers, students and institute directors will be available at all seven institutes to answer any questions about training at the SAE Institute. There will also be guided tours of the institutes and studios, lectures and demonstrations of the equipment and presentations of student projects. There will also be initial information on the new "Digital Journalist" degree programme: In addition to journalistic training, the course offers technical expertise in the fields of multimedia, film and audio. Students learn the tools to prepare their information in a wide range of formats with multimedia content for various news channels.
Creative and practice-orientated
School leavers from the age of 16 and with a secondary school leaving certificate can train to become multimedia all-rounders. SAE focuses on innovative methods of knowledge transfer, state-of-the-art equipment and, above all, practical orientation and training of creative skills. The SAE diploma can be obtained after just one year, with which nothing stands in the way of starting a job. A Bachelor's degree is possible after a further year, followed by a Master's degree.

PRIMEXCHANGE Norway-Germany
The newly developed producer programme initiated by the Norwegian Film Institute and implemented by PRIMEHOUSE is aimed at Norwegian film producers with a focus on the German market as well as German film producers who have co-productions with Norway in mind.
The training programme offers producers from both countries intensive advice on the market opportunities for their projects, especially in German-speaking countries, right from the early packaging phase. Together with leading experts from the fields of script development, market analysis, financing, distribution, world sales and games, the potential of the projects is analysed and possibilities for further development are developed. In-depth presentations on the structure and organisation of German film funding and production conditions in Germany round off the programme.

The Akademie der Musik- und Medienbranche Deutsche POP invites you to an information day at its locations in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich on the nationwide Music Weekend. Living Games Festival 2009
Following the extremely successful premiere of the Living Games Festival in 2008, the date, motto and the first programme items have now been finalised for this year's new edition
Programme have been set. From 27-30 May 2009, the world's first purely culturally oriented computer and video games festival will take place in the Jahrhunderhalle in Bochum.
The event is modelled on major, renowned film and literature events such as the Berlinale or the Bachmann Festival in Klagenfurt. Under the guiding theme "Games are so much more", representatives from politics, the games industry and academia will gather at the opening on 27 May to discuss the topic together with the
Grimme Prize winner and renowned cultural and media scientist Dieter Gorny, who is also Artistic Director for the "City of Creativity" theme area at the European Capital of Culture RUHR.
2010, to discuss the topic "More than just economic success: The games industry's social responsibility". The opening will take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2009 at 7.30 pm in the Jahrhunderthalle, Victoriastraße 10, 44787 Bochum.
Despite being recognised as an important cultural asset, computer games continue to face criticism from society, education and politics. At the Living Games Festival, this important debate will be given a broad platform. 10th RTT Conference

Digital design battle CUT&PASTE
In 2009, graphic designers from all over the world can once again put their skills to the test in the Cut&Paste design competition. This time, the graphic battles will take place in 16 cities around the globe. The candidates are given topics before the competition. In rounds of 15 minutes each, the candidates then have to spontaneously come up with something on these given themes and design the ideas on screen. The audience can follow the development of the designs live on large screens.
Cut&Paste starts in February 2009 in the USA in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Chicago. The event will then tour Europe and Asia.
The battle in Berlin will take place on 18 April 2009, with further shows in London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sydney. For the first time, Cut&Paste will be presenting and honouring not only outstanding 2D, but also 3D and motion design in the live stage shows. The closing date for applications for Cut&Paste in Berlin is 20 February 2009.
ohmrolle 2009 spring collection
The new programme of the FILM & ANIMATION course includes short films, commercials, music videos and works from the field of motion graphics, whether shot in real life or animated. The event, initiated with great commitment by Prof Jürgen Schopper, has long since become a sought-after event for talent scouts from the film and television industry, for agencies, film productions or representatives of digital post-production.
A direct link between teaching and practice on the one hand, the "ohmrolle" is also an interesting showcase for prospective students. Although the venue is the largest cinema in Nuremberg, tickets sell out within the first few hours.

The 4th International Video Journalism Awards is an international competition for documentary short films and contributions. Independent authors, civil journalists as well as video journalists working in print and television submit their films. The first seminar day "Motion Graphics and On Air Design" provides a detailed overview of the conception and production steps through to finished on-air design and motion graphics projects using practical and real production examples. Gameforge launches recruiting offensive
Who doesn't dream of turning their hobby into a career? Developing computer games, designing graphics, launching and promoting a new game for millions of players - Gameforge is looking for around 150 employees for these and other tasks this year. The Karlsruhe-based games company, the world's largest independent provider of browser and client-based online games, is organising a recruiting film night on 4 June 2008.

The event at the Schauburg cinema in Karlsruhe starts at 7 pm. After a short company presentation by founder and CEO Klaas Kersting, Gameforge will show the Internet thriller "Hackers". The cult film from 1995 is about computers, the World Wide Web and the power of information.
After the film, participants will be able to find out more about the day-to-day work of game developers, media designers and the like in discussions with Gameforge representatives and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. Interested young talents can find out directly about current job offers, ask their questions and leave their CV using a questionnaire.
