PRIMEXCHANGE Norway-Germany
The newly developed producer programme initiated by the Norwegian Film Institute and implemented by PRIMEHOUSE is aimed at Norwegian film producers with a focus on the German market as well as German film producers who have co-productions with Norway in mind.
The training programme offers producers from both countries intensive advice on the market opportunities for their projects, especially in German-speaking countries, right from the early packaging phase. Together with leading experts from the fields of script development, market analysis, financing, distribution, world sales and games, the potential of the projects is analysed and possibilities for further development are developed. In-depth presentations on the structure and organisation of German film funding and production conditions in Germany round off the programme.
The registration fee is 50 euros. (Further participation is free of charge for the selected producers).
The deadline for applications is 15 September 2009.
Acrobat 9 Tour
From 17 June to 10 July 2008, Adobe Systems is organising the Acrobat 9 Tour in Hamburg, Zurich, Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin and Vienna for document professionals and those who want to become one. Acrobat users will learn the new tricks and functions of the Acrobat 9 product family during the free events.
Adobe experts will present the new tools and techniques in the areas of document creation, presentation and distribution. The control and protection of sensitive documents will also be the subject of a separate session. Another focus is the simplified handling of PDF forms and the options for creating, distributing and analysing these forms. Insights into the server solutions of the Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite complement the know-how imparted for the practical handling of PDF documents. Visitors will also learn how acrobat.com can facilitate collaboration as a new platform for document services. In addition to these topics, the latest innovations in the Acrobat family for the 3D sector and the creative and pre-press environment will also be on show.
Participation in the events is free of charge.
mental ray workshop
The aim of this training workshop in Berlin is to provide participants with the know-how to significantly improve the quality of their renderings with mental ray, to save a lot of time with the right settings and also to show that additional renderers in Autodesk 3ds Max are not even necessary. The clearly structured topic blocks cover the basics through to professional applications such as industrial and architectural visualisation or programming your own shaders. Participants will be able to create images of outstanding quality and unrivalled realism with mental ray. The high quality is ensured by the fact that both the training content and the written (German) tutorials have been coordinated with mental images GmbH. Both individual days and the entire workshop can be booked. Those who complete the entire workshop will receive a certificate from mental images GmbH. During the workshop, each participant works on an HP high-end workstation, which can also be purchased at special conditions.
German Multimedia Congress
Current developments in e-commerce and e-marketing are the topics at this year's congress. The focus will be on social networks and virtual 3D worlds on the web. Registrations are still possible until 13 June.
