The VFX Festival 2022 will be hybrid

Emerging talents: Ready for the future of VFXs? The industry event from London is also available online!

In nuce: This year’s VFX Festival will take place from 8th to 10th March. This marks the tenth anniversary of the festival. The festival will feature award-winning film and series productions, inspiring talks by industry experts, tips & tricks for your career planning, as well as the latest technology trends.

Where does it take place? The festival takes place in London – and, thanks to the hybrid festival concept, of course anywhere else in the world, whether in front of your workstation, your TV or on the summit of Kilimanjaro (provided you have a stable internet connection).

The three days of the festival will revolve around the following themes:

Tuesday 8th March: Education – Aimed at prospective students under the age of 18 who are looking to enter the industry. Industry professionals will be making guest appearances to give young people advice on how to gain a foothold in the industry.

Wednesday 9th March: Emerging talent – Students and young professionals will learn how to give their career that little bit extra. The tips on how to successfully apply for vacancies should be of particular interest.

Thursday 10th March: The Future – Speculate into the future and predict which technological developments will shape the VFXs of tomorrow. It will be about Virtual Production, but also about the – hey, creepy Zuckerberg! – the metaverse.

Who is organising it? The VFX Festival is organised by Escape Studios. Escape Studios is a London-based educational organisation that offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in visual effects, game art, animation and motion graphics. Escape Studios is affiliated with Pearson College London .
