Can graffiti be love? The US short film “Canned” stumbles, jumps and hurls towards a romance. Always on board: beautiful street art.

In nuce: As part of our weekly recurring series “Animago Afternoon”, we present pearls, gems and other splendours from last year’s Animago film festivals at the best time of the afternoon. This time we’re showing you the award-nominated animated action short film “Canned” by students from Ringling College in the US, salvaged from the Animago archives in 2015.

What’s behind Canned? The Ringling College student team consisting of Ivan Joy, Nathaniel Hatton and Tanya Zamon – realised the action-packed animated short film “Canned”. The film is a mixture of 3D animation and 2D painting and was created using ZBrush, Maya, Deep Paint and Renderman.
