In nuce: The Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and the University of Potsdam are planning a new, internationally oriented, continuing education Master’s programme for the winter semester 2022/23. This is according to a recent press release. The Master’s programme will be dual and practice-integrated, enabling a close link between work and study, according to the press release.
What is the new degree programme all about? The degree programme is called “European Film Business and Law” and focuses on film business and film law – always from a European perspective. Students have the option of completing the programme with a double degree or a single degree. The two degree options are the “Master of Laws” (LL.M.) and the “Master of Business Administration” (MBA). The Erich Pommer Institute will provide organisational support for the new course.
What is on the curriculum? The self-promotion of the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf states that the “European Film Business and Law LL.M. | MBA” is aimed at specialists and managers from the film and TV industry. It goes on to say that the programme provides comprehensive insights into the European moving image and entertainment landscape – always from a business and legal perspective.

Further key data: The degree programme is designed for a standard period of study of four semesters. Lessons are held alternately in Potsdam and online. The study language is English. The programme starts in the winter semester 2022/23 and the application deadline is 31 July 2022.
