Marvel at Boba Fett’s digital stuntman!

Riding the Rancor: Texture Artist from ILM releases the Digital Double – from the streaming series “The Book of Boba Fett”. But that’s not all from a galaxy far, far away..

In nuce: Paul H. Pualino, former Texture Artist at ILM, now Senior Texture Artist at Epic Games, has shared something via Artstation that will delight fans of Star Wars slash Boba Fett in particular. These are some of the digital doubles developed for the streaming series “The Book of Boba Fett”.

What’s behind it? Paul was responsible for the UVs, textures and look development for these digital doubles. For his work on the virtual doubles, Paul used: Mari, Substance 3D Designer and RealityCapture. The accompanying footage of the most famous bounty hunter from a galaxy far, far away was originally released as part of the featurette “How ILM Brought Boba Fett to Times Square” by “LG Display”.
