Universal has released the holiday trailer for “The Secret Life of Pets”. Poor critters in ugly sweaters are forced into Christmas-card photo shoots. If they were not in 3D, PETA would already be on the doorstep. But this way it is quite cute—especially the guinea pig at the end, which has captured the spirit of social-media marketing exactly.
Will the French company Illumination Mac Guff score another major success with this work, as it did with the “Minions” film? We will see in summer 2016, when the film officially opens.
