Film Light, the makers behind the Baselight colour grading system, present the Colour Award.
Wolfang Lempp, CEO of Film Light, says of the Colour Award: “Colourists in particular do not always receive the appreciation they deserve. With the Colour Award, we want to duly honour the achievements of colourists.”
All colourists can enter, no matter which grading software they use and no matter what position they hold. From junior colourists to veteran colourists, everyone is invited to take part in the competition. The winners will be announced at EnergaCameraimage in Poland this year. The award programme will have four categories: “colorist in a theatrical feature”, “colorist in a nontheatrical or television series production”, “colorist in commercials or music videos” and finally “the most innovative use of technology to achieve a creative result”. The jury members will be announced in the coming months. Entries can be submitted until 15 September this year.
