Blender Artist develops generator for battered buildings

If you want to know how to use Blenders Geometry Nodes to make wooden huts fall apart, you should click on this CG Generalist.

In nuce: Blender artist Sozap likes it… destructive? When it comes to buildings with Blender, then yes, because the CG generalist with the pseudonym Sozap demonstrates his Blender project, with which he succeeded in depicting crumbling buildings.

How did the project come about? According to Sozap, his aim was to create a complex, procedural generator. He wanted to use the Geometry Nodes to learn more about their design possibilities. The result is what Sozap calls the “Abandoned House Generator”. Incidentally, as the CG Generalist writes, this was created exclusively using nodes. He obtained some of the models, textures and HDRIs from Poly Heaven – a 3D asset library.
