Epic Games has expanded its suite of Unreal Engine 4 tools with the acquisition of Twinmotion from developer Abvent. With Twinmotion, architects and landscape architects can optimise their 3D models in real time and prepare them for presentations. Material surfaces can be changed and various visual effects can be tested. Models can be displayed at any time of day or night throughout the year – in sunshine as well as in rain and snow. Twinmotion can also be used to create animated groups of people, animals, plants and vehicles.
Epic is offering Twinmotion free of charge until November.
