Vehicle Body Congress from VDI Wissensforum
With its main systems of body-in-white, exterior and interior equipment, the vehicle body is the interface between vehicle and buyer. The development of body systems is covered from the first design concept through requirements management and supplier integration to the representation of all production processes.
The focus is on digital technologies and the consistent continuation of system integration. Under the motto “System Integration in Vehicle Body Engineering”, the congress aims to help make tomorrow's vehicle bodies attractive, individually tailored to customers, ecological and economical to produce. With this congress, VDI Wissensforum offers a communication platform for representatives of the automotive industry, OEMs, the IT industry and engineering service providers.
One of the congress's main topics is complexity management in vehicle body development with regard to the variety of models and variants. Global aspects of body-system development are also addressed, taking account of different market requirements and the resulting development and manufacturing strategies.
