Animated feast for the eyes | Animago Afternoon

Yes, is it Christmas already? Rubbish! In the French advertising short film, sugar sherbet and a teddy bear help to get Christmas on track.

In nuce: As part of our weekly recurring series “Animago Afternoon”, we present pearls, gems and other splendours from last year’s Animago film festivals at the best time of the afternoon. This time we’re showing you the award-nominated French Christmas short film “Coca-Cola Noël”, realised by Unit Image and The Andy’s, salvaged from the Animago archives in 2014.

What is “Coca-Cola Noël”about ? This is how Christmas tales begin: Father Christmas commissions a teddy bear to make a home cosy and Christmassy. The bear is clever and enlists the help of his peers. It goes without saying that not everything always goes smoothly and the Christmas roast is sometimes misused as a projectile. But: the main thing is to get the result right – while the caffeinated sugar fizzy drink foams up and washes the roast through the digestive tract.
