Event quadro for blenders!

Four events attract the blender community: “Annecy Festival” in France, “Blender Day & Blender School” in Germany, “Siggraph” in Canada and “Blender Conference” in the Netherlands. Ergo: Blende(r)nde prospects!

In nuce: A blog entry on blender.org draws attention to three important events that Blender users should pay attention to this year. We’re adding a fourth event to the list: this year’s Blender Day and Blender School. Get an overview of all important Blender events in 2022 below.

Annecy Festival – 13th to 18th June: Blender will have its own stand at the Annecy International Film Festival and Market from 14th to 17th June. A special feature: The “Blender Studio” team will be on site to present the short film “Sprite Fright” created with Blender, which was also nominated for an award at the festival. For those of you who have not yet seen the comedic scary short film, we can only recommend clicking back to 28 December 2021 – there you will find “Sprite Fright” linked in full length.

Blender Day & Blender School – 29th to 31st July: You can expect: not only numerous online workshops, but also selected lectures on hot topics from the Blender community. Blender veteran Thomas Dinges (founder of Blender e.V. and Developer Community Coordinator for Blender) will open the event as keynote speaker. The venue is the Manifex Technology Centre in Mannheim. You can also find more information in our related news from 27 May 2022.

Siggraph – 8th to 11th August: As every year since 1999, Blender will once again be part of the world’s largest conference focusing on computer graphics in 2022. Thanks to the pandemic, this will be the first time Blender has been represented at Siggraph since the release of Blender 2.80. Blender will have a large booth where Blender users and industry representatives can network. Take a look and be there!

Blender Conference – 27th to 29th October: The 20th birthday of the open-source 3D tool will be celebrated at what is possibly the most important Blender event – in the middle of the neoclassical Felix Meritis building in Amsterdam. It’s worth the journey from an architectural point of view alone!
