In nuce: The winners of this year’s Rookie Awards were announced last July. In total, over 4,400 artists from over 90 different countries submitted their entries. A jury of over 150 people selected the winners based on various criteria, including Creativity, complexity, technique, talent, type of presentation and industry relevance (eng. employment potential).
Further information: Alwyn Hunt, co-founder of The Rookies, is delighted with the large proportion of female judges (over 80); Andrew McDonald, also co-founder of The Rookies, is delighted with the high calibre of entries, the already high quality of which, Andrew says, is increasing year on year. The three main sponsors of the 2022 Rookie Awards are Autodesk, Unreal Engine and Lenovo. Other sponsors include, among others: SideFX, Adobe, Dell Technologies or The Foundry.
