Avid, BenQ Maxon, NEC Display Solutions, PNY Technologies and Wacom, among others, will be presenting their latest products and developments there. Or you can get in direct contact with the studios Arri Media, Ignyte, nhb, present4D, Rise | Visual Effects Studios, Vogelsänger or Scanline VFX to show showreels or talk about the teams’ latest projects.
Winning hardware while having fun
Bring a new NEC display, an Oculus Rift with touch controllers or Wacom hardware from the animago event? If so, take part in our numerous activities this year and you could be one of the lucky winners.
Wacom Sketch Battle
Talented digital illustrators should compete in the Wacom Sketch Battle on the first animago day. Before the animago AWARDs ceremony, the competition will take place in the Foyer Lounge in front of the Carl-Orff-Saal from 18:00. Whoever creates the best reinterpretation of the “Münchner Kindl” (official heraldic figure of Munich) and is chosen as the winner by applause from the audience will receive hardware from Wacom.
NEC monitor raffle
NEC will be giving away a 34-inch curved display EX341R this year. Fill out an entry card at the NEC stand and drop it into the lottery drum. Very important: The winner will be drawn on Friday during the lunch break and must be present at the event. Otherwise, Lady Luck will pick the winner again. So: make a note of the lunch break on Friday 8 September 2017 for the NEC raffle as a fixed animago date.
VR art sculpts
At the DP stand, visitors can not only buy DP editions and take advantage of various discount promotions, the VR sculpting competition will also be organised there. In cooperation with Milkroom Studio and Oculus, participants will have 20 minutes to sculpt whatever their imagination can come up with. We will capture this 3D art in a short video and subsequently determine the winner of an Oculus Rift plus Touch Controller by public voting.
Vogelsänger Photobox
Those were the days in the 80s when ten of us squeezed into the only photo booth in town to take group photos with funny faces. Back then, the results were only available in analogue form on paper. Today, of course, the whole thing is digital and goes straight to social media. In our case, from the Vogelsänger Photobox to the animago Facebook page, where the collected works of silliness can be viewed in real time. This also provides a good overview: Who else is there? Vogelsänger already sponsored this fun idea in the 2016 anniversary year and will be doing so again this year, which makes us very happy.
