Blackmagic Design releases new Camera 6.8 update for improvements to both Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras (4K and 6K), as well as a new manual(available here).
For Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K
- Improved boot time of the camera.
- Improved performance of USB PTP control.
- Increased 4K 2.40:1 recording pixel height from 1712 to 1720.
- Fixed slow mounting of media with large clip count.
For Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K
- Improved boot time of the camera.
- Improved performance of USB PTP control.
- Bug fixed: EF lens stabilisation could sometimes not be started if the camera was started with deactivated lens IS(Image Stabilisation).
Download and installation
You can find the software update on the Black Magic website under “Professional Camera” in the “Latest Download” section. The Camera 6.8 Installer Package is available for Windows and Max and installs the Camera Setup, Blackmagic RAW SDK, Player, Speed Test, BRAW Plug-in for Premiere Pro and Media Composer, as well as User Manuals.
