Audiotrak Updates MAYA44 and Prodigy Drivers

New MAYA44 MKII and Prodigy 192 drivers add DirectWIRE 3.0 routing, plus expanded Sensaura, AC-3 and DTS support.

Audiotrak has released new drivers for the MAYA44 MKII and Prodigy 192 sound cards. Both drivers add support for DirectWIRE 3.0.

The new INPUT section in DirectWIRE 3.0 routes signals from the cards’ hardware inputs to any virtual input exposed by an E-WDM driver model, including MME, DirectSound, ASIO and GSIF. Applications include stream mixing, overdubbing, and hardware or software monitoring.

DirectWIRE routes audio streams internally between applications without external cabling. It uses Audiotrak’s E-WDM multiclient functionality so multiple audio applications and driver models can run in parallel. One example is transferring 5.1-channel output from a software DVD player directly into multitrack recording software.

The Prodigy 192 driver also adds compatibility with Sensaura 3D applications. Users can switch between E-WDM support and Sensaura 3D through Windows Multimedia Setup in Control Panel without restarting the computer. Surround-sound, AC-3 and DTS support has also been expanded.

The drivers are available as free downloads from Audiotrak.
