Zygote Media Group offers what, according to the manufacturer, is the most sophisticated 3D heart model to date. Human Heart 3 was also the the world’s only known animated 3D heart model for which a license can be purchased, the company advertises.
New details obtained from MRI and CT data have been incorporated into the model, which, according to Zygote, create an image that comes closest to the real organ of all representations existing on today’s market. Human Heart 3 is intended to make it easier for graphic designers, scientists and animators to depict the human heart visually, ranging from exterior views and cross-sectional images of the interior to precise animation of the cardiac cycle’. The package includes two high-resolution photorealistic texture maps – for both a slim and a fatty heart – created with the help of digital photographs. The model supports the formats of most major 3D applications, including Maya, 3ds Max, Lightwave, Cinema 4D and Softimage.
The model and images are available for immediate licensing on the 3DScience website. The price for Human Heart 3 starts at 1,200 US dollars. Until March 15, Zygote grants a 30 percent introductory discount. Students, instructors and educational institutions receive a further 30 percent price reduction as part of 3DScience.com’s educational discount program. Texture maps, sections and animation files can also be purchased separately. Other heart models are also available.
