Omnibus presented its new iTX platform back in the summer, and at the IBC (stand 8.441) the company is now announcing the first additions. With iTX, the developer of broadcast automation systems has brought together the functionalities of master control and playout in a single software solution.

Based on standard software, iTX takes on functions of a video server, master control as well as editing tasks for graphics and logo insertion. The system is thus intended to serve as an automation system, data recording, editor and content management.

Omnibus is also showing new plug-ins at the IBC: At the stand, Omnibus CEO Mike Oldham particularly highlighted the new Content Probe monitoring software from Ideasunlimited-tv for real-time audio and video monitoring.

In future, OmniBus will integrate iTX into Omneon’s Mediagrid storage system. iTX backs up all data during playout in master control.
