Motorola, Inc. recognizes its ecosystem partners, whose contributions have enriched the Moto Z8 considerably. The Moto Z8 is a multimedia powerhouse: it plays videos pin-sharp at 30 fps (frames per second). It also offers sufficient storage space through support for external memory cards, from 4GB up to future 32GB cards. The Moto Z8 has recently become available, and Motorola combines its innovative design and technical expertise with leading applications and solutions from Actimagine, CNN Mobile, DataViz, Podcast.com, ShoZu, weComm and Yahoo!.
The Moto Z8 is the world’s first Kick Slider phone with an ergonomic shape. When it is slid open, it bends and is thus closer to the ear and mouth. Entertainment fans have everything in one with this mobile telephone: TV, video and music. Motorola’s ecosystem partners have contributed a great deal to the unique features:
Actimagine – Actimagine develops and distributes the patented Mobiclip™ video codec, which is suitable for all mobile platforms. Mobiclip plays content of different kinds – whether freely accessible or paid – in DVD-like quality with a resolution of 30 fps (frames per second), without shortening battery life. Tuned to the multimedia capabilities of the Moto Z8, Mobiclip offers a unique mobile video experience. Users can see their content pin-sharp and hear it with hi-fi sound.
CNN Mobile – With CNN International, users are always informed even when on the move thanks to the leading CNN Mobile website. A preinstalled URL in the Moto Z8 browser provides direct access to CNN’s „World News Now“. Every hour there is both a two-minute video with a summary of the news and a homepage with links to headlines, news, weather, business, sports, entertainment and lifestyle. The page offers more than 120 reports daily with many photos. Users can retrieve more than 2,000 reports from the archive for 14 days. A special CNN area for journalists, iReport, makes it possible to provide images and videos directly via the mobile telephone.1
DataViz – DataViz is a leading provider of solutions that makes Microsoft Office products compatible for mobile devices. The company makes its award-winning Documents-To-Go application available for Moto Z8. The Documents To Go Viewer Edition is tailored to the Moto Z8 and offers users the ability to open and read Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.
With podcast.com, users can automatically download their favorite audio and video podcast directly from the Internet to their mobile telephone or PC. Podcast.com makes the entire spectrum of free content available to Moto Z8 users and additionally offers the Podcast.com service.1
ShoZu has developed a technology with which multimedia content and Internet services can be exchanged quickly and easily. Optimized for the Moto Z8, users can use Share-It from ShoZu to upload their photos and videos very easily to various blogs, news or community pages and of course e-mails. In addition, ShoZu offers all Moto Z8 users the ZuCast Media Service, with which video, audio and music data as well as photos can be loaded directly onto the telephone.1
weComm develops the Sky Anytime on Mobile application for BSkyB. It worked very closely with Motorola to realize the application for preinstallation on the Moto Z8. Sky Anytime on Mobile offers Moto Z8 users an interactive mobile TV application that extends Sky’s digital television experience to the mobile telephone. In addition, there is an on-demand library with various news, entertainment and sports offerings. The Sky „Anytime“ application also offers access to various mobile TV services from Sky.1
