The special-interest pay-TV channel Lettra has commissioned the Berlin multimedia service provider and IPTV specialist Exozet to implement its web presence. In the first phase, Exozet has already realised a corporate site for the channel. During a further development phase, Lettra’s offering will be expanded with Exozet’s TVNEXT IPTV solution and comprehensive community features.

Lettra is the first special-interest channel about books and reading on German digital television and is aimed at all target groups in the book market. The channel can be received around the clock with more than forty multifaceted TV formats via pay-TV bouquets such as Premiere Star as well as the IPTV providers Arcor and Hansenet. Alongside the distribution channels of digital pay TV, Lettra wants to strengthen its presence on the Internet. For the channel launch, Exozet was commissioned to implement a website including a Flash player. It initially contains information about the channel and the TV programme.

In a further phase, the Internet offering is to be expanded with extensive moving-image content using Exozet’s award-winning TVNEXT IPTV technology. In addition, an extensive range of community and UGC features about books and literature is planned for users.
