NAB 2008: DVS Presents Pronto3 Disk Recorder

Its modular design is intended to adapt flexibly to production requirements from SD through real-time 2K.

DVS is presenting Pronto3, the latest generation of its digital disk recorders, at NAB. The Hanover company markets its combination of high-performance hardware and innovative software as an ideal system for professional broadcast, postproduction, and presentation projects. Numerous options are intended to expand Pronto3 and tailor its features precisely to customer requirements.

Pronto3 handles compressed and uncompressed data from HD through 2K in applications ranging from postproduction to large-screen presentation. The adaptable disk recorder is intended for productions and presentations using SD and HD material as well as projects requiring real-time 2K, dual-link operation, or formats such as 1920 × 1080p at 60p. The base version can be expanded with freely selectable, task-specific options.

DVS promises optimized broadcast, postproduction, and presentation workflows with the Pronto family. According to the manufacturer, Pronto3 and ProntoXway can be integrated easily into existing workflows as open systems and support more than 100 graphics formats for flexible content import. Extensive editing and conforming functions allow imported data to be processed directly on the DVS disk recorders.

DVS will present Pronto3 at booth SL2612 at NAB.
