After nine months of intensive development, Quantel introduced Neo, a new colour-correction and grading panel for Pablo, at NAB 2008 in Las Vegas. The panel’s design and operating functions were developed in close collaboration with leading colourists.

Neo uses an ergonomically arranged keyboard with colour-coded direct keys for essential functions and a Glide Pad for comfortable long grading sessions. Key settings for contextual corrections, including HSL, RGB balance, DVE image movement and selective-colour outlines, can be accessed at the touch of a button.

It provides predefined, modifiable outline tools, 40 OLED displays showing values and images for storyboards and reference images, larger-than-usual trackballs for fine colour balance, and interchangeable controls for left- or right-handed users.
